Who we are
Jim Potterton, has a long association with the labor movement both as a union staff member and as a recruiting and training consultant. He served as an organizer and field representative with SEIU in the nineteen seventies in the Midwest and California.
Since 1980 he has worked as a labor educator at San Jose City College where he also teaches Social Psychology. He has academic training in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. He is a member of AFT Local 6157.
Ken Margolies worked as Senior Field Rep for Local 715 SEIU, National Bargaining Rep for AFA, Organizing Director of CWA, and Education Director of the Teamsters.
Apart from Margolies and Potterton he is a labor educator at the Worker Institute at Cornell in New York City where he specializes in helping union leaders manage staff with union values, collective bargaining and involving young members in unions.
